The Philadelphia Quakers earned a close win over the Cleveland Bobcats, thanks in part to Juan Ramirez. The Philadelphia right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the NBL with a 1.23 WHIP, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The winner was Ramirez. He threw 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball. With scoring opportunities rare, the Quakers had to cash in when they had the chance.
