Seattle Slaps 7-3 Loss on Atlanta
The Atlanta Generals could not turn a fine performance from shortstop Kyle Devine into a win. Instead, the Seattle Emeralds prevailed, 7-3. Devine went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mike Harris, who is tied for 9th in the ABL with a 2.60 ERA, was the winner. He's now 5-3. The loser was Frank Noorani. The victory gives Seattle a record of 27-24.

Seattle second baseman Ray Allen contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Emeralds ahead, 4-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Allen.
