Toronto Comes up Empty Against Burkholder
|
It was a quiet day for the Toronto Hurons at Puget Field -- a little too quiet. Seattle Emeralds starter Pat Burkholder silenced the Hurons, holding them to 4 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 4-0 win.
"It was frustrating against Burkholder today," Toronto manager Jim Burns said.
The Seattle starting pitcher walked 0 and allowed 4 hits while fanning 5.
So far this season, Burkholder has 8 wins and 1 loss and a 1.59 ERA.
