The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Lamons delivered big-time for New York, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Miguel Jimenez. The game-changing hit put the Knickerbockers on top, 6-5.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Lamons, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
