The Boston Terriers got a sterling performance from pitcher Vern Gould, but the Baltimore Lords still prevailed, 7-2. Gould threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Boston has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Baltimore used the clutch hitting of Dave Deschamps to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lords ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Deschamps.
