Traders Get Clutch Win Versus Los Angeles

Chicago turned a good performance from starting pitcher Bobby Peters into a 2-1 triumph over the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Blockbuster Stadium. Peters picked up the win for Chicago, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-6. Chicago is now 24-30, Los Angeles 21-32.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Bobby Richter to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Traders on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Los Angeles manager John Trausch said, following the tough loss.
