Emeralds Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
|
The Seattle Emeralds topped the Toronto Hurons by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was first baseman Dustin Guest. Guest went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Emeralds. Seattle has now won 3 straight, while the Hurons have lost 3 in a row.
The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the ninth, with one out, Guest hit a run-scoring single. It gave Seattle the 6-5 walk-off win.
"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Guest said in his postgame press conference.
