With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Pardoe hit a run-scoring single off Detroit hurler Jim Bryant. It was the 7th hit of the season for Pardoe and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Pardoe.
