Starting pitcher Jerry Zaruba pitched well enough to help the Pittsburgh Industrials beat the New York Knickerbockers, 6-3. The win for the Industrials lifted their record to 29-25.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Richie Lord? The 26-year old right fielder Lord stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
