The home crowd had a good time watching the Baltimore Lords and New York Empires get after it.

New York registered a win at Queens Field by beating the Baltimore Lords, 3-1. Pitcher Jon Pierce was one reason why the Empires triumphed. New York is now 32-22, Baltimore 22-33.

The Empires picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Pierce.
