The Chicago Hawks got a stellar effort from pitcher Johnny Russell, helping Chicago score a win over the visiting Los Angeles Pobladores, 6-0. The Hawks now have a record of 24-33 with the win over Los Angeles.
In the bottom of the sixth, Chicago shortstop Jim Farrar had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Farrar stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, Chicago. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Farrar said after the game.
