Blockbusters Lose to Dairymen, 5-4
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen and Los Angeles Blockbusters obliged fans looking for a good time.
Milwaukee left fielder Leon Hughes made his presence felt in the 5-4 Dairymen triumph over the Los Angeles Blockbusters. Hughes was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The winning pitcher was Danny Guerra. His record now stands at 6-3. The right-hander went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Dairymen. Arnie Keilman earned the save for Milwaukee, his 10th.
Larry Morford went 1 for 3 with a walk for Milwaukee. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Larry Messenger. It was his 18th walk of the season.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
The Milwaukee win streak is now 3 games.
