Manuel Castillo was a major contributor to the 5-1 Los Angeles win over Dallas. The Pobladores second baseman went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Dave Wynn got the win, improving to 6-2. He worked 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Dallas now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Darrell Martin to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pobladores on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
