Burros Walk It Off for 29th Win of Season
The Denver Burros banked on Bruce Cardenas and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the San Diego hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Burros. Denver now owns a record of 29-27.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Bitting in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Fields to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Cardenas.
