The Baltimore Lords pinned a convincing loss on the Atlanta Generals, 9-3, at Atlantic Station Field. Mike Sheffield was a main factor in the win. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Baltimore. Baltimore pitcher Larry Diego got the win, upping his record to 5-2. Frank Noorani got the loss. With the win, Baltimore upped its record to 34-22.

With Baltimore leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Sheffield hit a 2-run single off Atlanta hurler Frank Noorani. It was the 50th hit of the season for Sheffield and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
