Seagulls Suffer 8-6 Home Defeat
Benefiting from Carl Jacobs's productive game, the Twin Cities Northmen downed the San Francisco Seagulls, 8-6. Jacobs was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Northmen. Bill Smith zipped up his 2nd save. The victory gives the Northmen a record of 33-25.

Dave Weaver came through with a big-time hit for Twin Cities. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We ground out the win," said Jacobs. "That's all that matters."
