Sisson Slugs Drillers to 6-2 Win
|
At San Vicente Park, the Los Angeles Pobladores and Houston Drillers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The 3-hit performance of Mark Sisson, who is tied for 3rd in the ABL in RBI with 31, helped the Houston Drillers beat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 6-2. Syed Farooqi, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in complete games with 4, was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
Early in the game, Sisson had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 4-2.
Sisson said his team "played with focus and determination."
