The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Hurons and Houston Drillers get after it.

Houston starter Bill Switzer pitched well against the Toronto Hurons at Sam Houston Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. The winner in relief was Tom McAteer. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1.
