Packers Take Home 4-3 Win Over New York
Erv Koenig had a strong outing for the Cincinnati Packers against the New York Knickerbockers at Roman Arena. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The winning pitcher was Koenig, now 2-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 7 and fanning 5. Brian Williams earned save number 8 this season.

Cincinnati took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Larry Ritter hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Packers.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Koenig.

Cincinnati is now 27-31, New York 33-24.
