Milwaukee Dairymen starter Juan Mendoza was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Diego Captains, 5-1. The Dairymen now own a record of 27-29.

Ray Bell had a big run-scoring triple for the Dairymen in the bottom of the second inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Ray McKenzie, who is tied for 6th in the NBL in wins with 6, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 8th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dairymen ahead, 2-0.

Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
