Seagulls Rally to Win, 3-2
The San Francisco Seagulls eked out a 3-2 win versus the Twin Cities Northmen at Mission Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Jerry Patrick. He was terrific. Dan Wood was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Bill Smith. With the win, the Seagulls have a record of 33-25.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when San Francisco pinch hitter Al Medley, facing Bill Smith, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Seagulls the 3-2 win.

"There's no quit in this team," said Seagulls manager Al Borie.
