Los Angeles Wastes Great Game by Gunter
Los Angeles first baseman Chuck Gunter was sensational. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Francisco beat the Pobladores, 7-5. The win lifts San Francisco to a record of 3-3.

San Francisco used a well-timed hit by Jose Sosa to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Seagulls ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Sosa said.
