Wranglers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Bluff Park, downing the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3, in 12 innings. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Barry Gilmore, who played a pivotal role in the win. Frank Dunn claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-1. The win gives Dallas a record of 4-2.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 29-year old center fielder Rick Adams had a chance to be the hero. Twin Cities pitcher Jeff Jordan wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Adams drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Wranglers had themselves a thrilling win.
"We were the better team," crowed Adams.
