Wranglers Dealt 4-1 Loss by Houston
|
Larry Bilski, who finished 2nd in the ABL in wins with 19 last year, never let the Wranglers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Drillers to a win, 4-1. Bilski, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The win gives Houston a record of 4-2.
The Drillers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mark Sisson. For the game, Sisson was 1-3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Sisson.
