Pobladores Get Clutch 2-1 Win
The Los Angeles Pobladores topped the Houston Drillers, 2-1, in 11 innings at San Vicente Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Phil Lester. Lester yielded 1 run over 11 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-6. The 5th-place Pobladores bumped their record to 25-32.

The Pobladores got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Leo Alexander. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pobladores.

"Phil did a tremendous job," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson.
