Hurons Get Thrilling 5-4 Win
The Toronto Hurons overcame a good performance by Baltimore catcher Mike Sheffield to knock off Baltimore, 5-4, in 10 innings at Seton Hill Stadium. Sheffield went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Ron Haney earned save number 3 this season. The Hurons saw their record improve to 27-30.

The Hurons beat the Lords in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Henry Rivera produced in the top of the tenth. Batting against George Rood, Rivera gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring single.

When asked about his performance after the game, Rivera said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
