San Francisco catcher Jose Barroso had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Barroso went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Twin Cities beat the Seagulls, 12-5. Twin Cities sits in second place in the American Baseball League Western Division at 34-26.

Early in the game, third baseman Chris Berman had a 2-run double for Twin Cities. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Northmen on top, 2-0.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Berman told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
