The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Seattle Emeralds in 12 innings downed the Atlanta Generals, 6-5, at Atlantic Station Field. Roberto Soto led the way, going 4-for-5 for Seattle. The winner was Carroll Reynolds in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Napoleon Russi took the loss. The save was credited to Darrell Klug, his 4th.

Had Soto not come through in the top of the 12th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Soto hit a run-scoring single. The Emeralds took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

"Big win," said Soto.

Seattle, with the win, is 5-1.
