The Cleveland Bobcats got a stellar effort from pitcher Myron Baird, helping Cleveland score a win over the visiting Chicago Traders, 5-2. Joe Clabaugh recorded the save, his 10th. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Chicago.

Alan Romano hit a 2-run triple off Jose Mojica in the bottom of the first, which put the Bobcats in front, 2-0. Romano had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
