Baltimore turned a good effort from starter John Fredrick into a win over the Seattle Emeralds at Seton Hill Stadium. The final score was 6-1. The winner was Fredrick. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Dave Gilson.

The Lords got a big at-bat from left fielder Tom Payton. For the game, Payton went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 2-1 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Payton said.
