Bobcats Prevail, 3-1, Over Pittsburgh
|
Cleveland and Pittsburgh played a hard-fought contest.
Cleveland Bobcats starter Floyd Tucker hurled his team past the Pittsburgh Industrials, 3-1. Tucker picked up the win for Cleveland, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-4. Tim Fried, credited with the save, is now 7 for 11 in save opportunities.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jim McCusker? The Cleveland second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Bobcats on top, 1-0. For the game, McCusker had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Tucker after the game.
With the victory, the Bobcats upped their record to 31-29.
