Roger Pochatko, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in quality starts with 10, propelled his team to victory over the New York Empires. The final score was 7-1, Boston. The Terriers raised their record to 25-36.

Bob Madaras was 1 for 3 with a triple for Boston. The 29-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jon Pierce. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
