Pobladores Win at Home, 5-2
|
San Francisco got a terrific performance from pitcher Tim Stambaugh, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Pobladores. Los Angeles won the San Vicente Park contest, 5-2. Stambaugh threw 8.0 innings allowing 5 runs for the losing team. The winner was Los Angeles reliever Danny Sanchez, now 2-3. The loser was Tim Stambaugh. The Los Angeles win streak is now 3 games.
Los Angeles took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Juan Duran hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Pobladores.
Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
