The Baltimore Lords knocked off the Seattle Emeralds, 4-3, in American Baseball League action at Seton Hill Stadium. Baltimore pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Jose Rodriguez had an outstanding performance. Baltimore reliever Leon Fairley was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Fred Wild. The losing streak for Seattle has now reached 4 games.

Tom Payton was the walk-off hero for Baltimore. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lords left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Payton said.
