The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at LaSalle Stadium, knocking off the Montreal Habitants, 9-5. Starting pitcher Charlie Sokol played a key role in the triumph. The win elevated the Wranglers to 36-24.

Roger McCoy went 1-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Dallas. The 28-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Manny Esparza. It was his 23rd walk of the season.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
