The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Bluff Park, downing the Houston Drillers, 3-2. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Mike Brown, who played a pivotal role in the win. After today's action, Dallas sits at 28-35; Houston slips to 33-28.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Dallas pinch hitter Bob Messinger, facing Bill Switzer, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Wranglers the 3-2 win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Brown said.
