Seagulls Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at San Vicente Park, courtesy of Arturo Lopez. The right-hander helped his team stop the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Lopez, now 4-6. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. San Francisco now sits at 32-29, while Los Angeles falls to 32-28.
Scott Wagner came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The third baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Los Angeles manager Alex Wobbema, "let me know."
