With Late Score, Dairymen Beat Bulls
|
The Kansas City Bulls got a superb performance from pitcher Skip Carter, but the Milwaukee Dairymen still won the game, 3-2. Carter threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The defeat makes Kansas City 34-27.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Bulls allowed the Dairymen to score the winning run.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Castro said after the game.
