Sosa Silences Baltimore Bats
|
Alfonso Sosa, who is tied for 5th in the ABL with a 6.9 K/9 rate, was terrific for the Toronto Hurons in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Baltimore Lords. His performance earned Sosa rave reviews. After today's action, Toronto sits at 22-39, while Baltimore falls to 33-26.
The famously hardworking Sosa handled the Lords all day, notching 3 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. Sosa, who is tied for 5th in the ABL with a 6.9 K/9 rate, goes to 3-5 on the year with 61 strikeouts.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Sosa told the Toronto Observer. "But we take nothing for granted."
