The Atlanta Generals defeated the Toronto Hurons, 10-8, at Atlantic Station Field. Leading the charge for Atlanta was second baseman Roberto Palacios. He went 3-6 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Atlanta pitcher Mike Chernock got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Johnny Frakes got the loss. After today's action, Atlanta sits at 26-33; Toronto slips to 24-37.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Atlanta trailing 8-6, Palacios jumped on a fastball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Johnny Frakes and hit a grand slam home run to right. With one swing, the Generals had a walk-off win.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Palacios said, postgame.
