Bobcats Collect 13-10 Win Over Packers
The Cleveland Bobcats topped the Cincinnati Packers, 13-10, in National Baseball League action at Roman Arena. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Norton, Massachusetts, native Joe Clabaugh. The winner in relief was Steve Eaton. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Bobcats go to 32-30, putting them 4th in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Cleveland used a timely hit from Phil Chirico to get the win. The left fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Bobcats ahead, 13-10. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"There's no quit in this team," said Bobcats manager Daniel Mays.
