The Cleveland Bobcats weathered a fine game by Cincinnati second baseman Daniel Salas to upend the Packers, 6-5, at Lakefront Stadium. Salas was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. At 35-27, the Bobcats are currently second in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Rick Gruber was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bobcats first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Gruber said, postgame.
