Dallas Wranglers starter Dave Young led his team to victory over the Houston Drillers, 3-2. The left-hander was locked-in. Dallas reliever Art Stager picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Rick McStay was tagged with the loss. Dave Gilson closed the game out for Dallas, earning his 2nd save.

The Wranglers benefited from an error in the top of the first inning. Dallas was leading 1-0 when Jamie Robinson hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Dallas in front, 2-0.

Robinson called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

Dallas now sports a record of 31-33.
