Cincinnati third baseman Glen Bennett was instrumental in helping the Packers triumph, 6-3, over the Washington Eagles. Bennett was 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Washington's current losing streak is now 6 games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Bennett hit a fastball from Steve Vercher for a 3-run home run. The Packers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
