Lords Stay Hot, Beat Pobladores, 5-2

Baltimore Lords starter Bart Dunsley turned in a top-notch performance against the Los Angeles Pobladores at Seton Hill Stadium. The result was a win for the Lords, 5-2. The winner was Dunsley. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Bob Powell. Denny Boyd, who led the ABL in saves with 30 last year, nailed down the save.
Baltimore catcher Mike Sheffield helped the Lords go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Sheffield hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles pitcher Bob Powell.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
Baltimore, at 29-34, sits in 6th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
