St. Louis Sends Kansas City Packing with 4-1 Loss
|
The St. Louis Explorers got great pitching from 13-year veteran Ramon Juarez, allowing them to bump off the Kansas City Bulls, 4-1. Alex Alonso notched his 12th save in 13 chances. With the win, the Explorers improved to 29-35.
St. Louis used a well-timed hit by Gary Parker to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Explorers ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Juarez.
