Knickerbockers Suffer Blowout Loss to Burros
Denver starter Dave Church clamped down on the New York offense, while his team cruised to victory, 11-1. Denver is third in the National Baseball League Western Division with a record of 33-31.

The Burros got a big at-bat from center fielder Tim Alderfer. For the game, Alderfer went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 7th double of the season gave Denver a 3-0 lead.

Burros manager Clark Anderson had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
