Dick Witt Whips Quakers for #200
|
It was a special day at Allegheny Field for Pittsburgh's Dick Witt. The Industrials ace logged his 200th career win against the Quakers. In the 9-0 decision Witt tossed 2.2 innings, surrendered 2 hits with no walks and 1 strikeout.
"I'm real fortunate that I had the opportunity to play with such good players during my career," said Witt. "I just couldn't have drawn it up any better. I'm glad I did it in this uniform, too. Pittsburgh is a great organization to play for."
Witt has no saves in his career with a 200-166 record and a 3.37 ERA.
