The Pittsburgh Industrials battled the Philadelphia Quakers into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Industrials won it, finally, 7-6, in 10 innings. In the game, Pittsburgh third baseman Tim Grange went 2 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Industrials got a clutch hit from catcher Terry McClellan. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Industrials.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said McClellan. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
