Getting an impressive start from Rick McStay, Houston beat Chicago by the score of 6-0. The triumph puts Houston at 35-29 for the season.
McStay was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 5-5. In 8.2 innings of work, McStay gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 5. The Hawks were never able to generate much offense.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Houston manager Steven Palps.
