Burros first baseman Alejandro Rebolledo left his mark on his team's 7-4 win over the New York Knickerbockers. Rebolledo, who finished 3rd in the NBL in on-base percentage with .427 in 1971, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Denver in the contest. Juan Ramirez, the winner, goes to 4-4. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. The Burros go to 37-27, putting them second in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Denver grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Rebolledo hit a 2-run home run off Tim Fried. His 7th home run of the season put the Burros out in front, 6-4.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Rebolledo told the Denver Herald.
