Lords Score Late, Clip Hurons, 3-2
|
Seton Hill Stadium played host to some exciting baseball.
The Toronto Hurons got a sterling performance from pitcher Bill John, but the Baltimore Lords still prevailed, 3-2. John threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The Lords improved their record to 31-34 with the win over Toronto.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Baltimore second baseman Mike Caito, facing Dave Hamilton, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Lords the 3-2 win.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Caito said, postgame.
