Wolverines Rally to Win
Despite a great performance by Houston catcher Charlie Fee, the Detroit Wolverines defeated the Drillers by the score of 7-6 at Wolverine Field. Fee went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Detroit, at 41-24, is 2½ games up in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.

The Wolverines got a clutch hit from second baseman Brian Cook. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wolverines.

"This place sure got loud," said Alex Wobbema, the Detroit manager.
