Baltimore pitcher Kenny Wilson did his part in helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Baltimore reliever Denny Boyd picked up the win to move to 6-7. Larry Seger suffered the loss. Leon Fairley earned the save for Baltimore, his 4th.

Tom Payton went 1-3 for Baltimore. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Payton, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in triples with 4, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Los Angeles hurler Larry Seger, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Lords a 2-1 lead.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson said, following the tough loss.

Baltimore has now won 6 games in a row.
