Burros Send Milwaukee Home with 7-2 Loss
|
The Denver Burros picked up a win at Gates Crescent Park, knocking off the Milwaukee Dairymen, 7-2. Starting pitcher Bob Langham was a big reason why. In 7.1 innings, Langham surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Frank Combs earned the save for Denver, his 2nd of the year.
The Burros got a big at-bat from center fielder Guillermo Morales. For the game, Morales was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Denver a 2-1 lead.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Langham told the Denver Daily.
The loss drops Milwaukee to 3-4.
