Bryce 4-for-5 to Power Dairymen Offense
|
Behind the bravura of second baseman Reggie Bryce, the Milwaukee Dairymen topped the St. Louis Explorers by the score of 6-5. Bryce went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Dairymen. Milwaukee, with the win, is 22-43.
Had Bryce not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Bryce hit a run-scoring single. The Dairymen took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
"I know we have our doubters," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
